MotorSport Engineering started in 1995 as a race car preparation company, mainly preparing cars
for one make championships.
Success was achieved in various categories, Rover Tomcats, Vauxhall Vectras & the VW Cup with a VW Beetle. As these
series declined or the drivers moved on to different areas, more success was found preparing cars for the LMA EuroSaloon Championship.
By 2002 a move was made to larger premises and the company branched out into manufacturing parts, turning, milling, welding,
particularly LMA products.
During 2004 the company moved exclusively into manufacturing parts joining forces with Le Mans Autoparts (LMA) to manufacture
all their fabricated parts, however, at the end of 2004 the French organisers of the Le Mans 24hour race successfully stopped
Le Mans Motorsport using the Le Mans name.
MotorSport Engineering carried on manufacturing & a new company LMA Distribution Ltd was set up to replace Le Mans Motorsport.
In 2008 the business of LMA Distribution was taken over by MotorSport Engineering Ltd.
At the beginning of 2009 SW Gauges were introduced, followed by Pro-FX HT Leads & Brake hose Kits.
The company now operates from a 3,000 sq ft factory just over the road from its start up unit.
